A true legend in the comic book world, Rafael Grampa is a celebrated comic book artist and writer: his first solo work, independent graphic novel MESMO DELIVERY, was published in 2008, and won him two HQ Mix Awards for “Best Artist” and “Best Especial Graphic Novel” in 2009. Along his personal work, he also creates illustration and stories for DC Comics and Marvel Comics.
Rafael considers himself as a new director, but that’s just being modest: he’s been working with motion graphics, scripts and animation for over a decade now. His collaboration for Absolut, a graphic short movie “Dark Noir” is his first true directing job flying solo, and showed the world his talent for visual and intense storytelling – he’s currently working on a live action adaptation for Hollywood, proof that it didn’t go unnoticed! Rafael loves stories and interesting characters, and does not hesitate to create entire made up worlds, full of specific personalities, surroundings and atmosphere for an ad.
